Why We're Starting A Podcast: A Message from Orlando and Barbara (and why in spanish?)

As the founders of GROU, we, Orlando and Barbara, have always sought innovative ways to connect with our community and share the essence of what makes our business special. Starting a podcast feels like the natural next step in our journey. Through this platform, we aim to provide an intimate look into our world, the intricacies of running a coffee shop and a coworking space, and the values that drive us. We've poured our hearts into this business, and through our podcast, we want to share our story, challenges, and triumphs with you. The idea is that you get to know us, our real essence, real stories that will allow you to get to know our business even more! Our episodes will cover everything from the daily grind of coffee making to the behind-the-scenes decisions that shape our shop's unique atmosphere. By delving into the nuts and bolts of our operations, we hope to inspire entrepreneurs, help them to make decisions, avoid any mistakes, start a conversation.

Coffee With Founders was born originally in 2021 when we were building our coffee shop, and we interviewed other founders in Miami to learn more about their journey. In 2024, we relaunched Coffee With Founders and we opened our hearts and our doors to our community.

Spreading our message is another fundamental reason for launching this podcast. We believe that a coffee shop is more than just a place to grab a caffeine fix; it's a hub for community, creativity, and connection. Through our podcast, we aspire to amplify this message, highlighting how our shop contributes to the local culture and economy, since we support more than 70 local brands. Our goal is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of founders issues, encouraging our listeners to become more conscious consumers and active community members, as well as family business topics and working as a couple

By sharing our experiences, from our initial vision to the day-to-day realities of running a business, we hope to provide guidance and encouragement to others on similar paths. We'll laugh with Orlando's jokes, make fun of Barbara moving her hands, and grow together
