THE COFFEE: This fine coffee is the perfect representation of the amazing coffee culture in Colombia:perfect combination of sweet caramel and fruit tartness. THE METHOD: These beans are honey washed, which takes approximately 25-40 days for the coffee bean to dry in its mucilage. Drying the seed this way increases the sweet and fruity flavors of the coffee.
THE REGION: This Colombian region grows and produces one of the highest quality coffees in the country. Being one of the highest regions in the Colombian Andes Mountains, the heavy and cold winds help promote the drying process.
THE COMMUNITY: "The Inga" indigenous group of this region, also called "Inganos," is community rooted in tradition.
